about

In this recording I have connected the U1 device to a Crassula Ovata and to a Dieffenbachia Amoena, two beautiful plants that are enriching the space of my current home in Berlin.

The U1 device transduces the difference of electrical impedence between the leaves and the roots of a plant into a MIDI signal. The device can be set to produce both a major scale and a chromatic scale.

I have recorded four sessions for each plant: both chromatic and major scales in the late morning and in the evening (after sunset).

The music is tuned to A 432Hz.

Enjoy!
